K-sure held the 6th RCG CBP Meeting with 9 BU members

- K-sure cemented its status as a leading ECA by setting up a cooperative network among ECAs in Asia-Pacific

■ Korea Trade Insurance Corporation (K-sure, www.ksure.or.kr, Kim Young-hak, president) held the 6th RCG Capacity Building Program (CBP) Meeting for two days from January 17 to 18 at Koreana Hotel, Seoul.

○ The meeting aims to further cement regional cooperation and strengthen the cooperative network among 12 Asia-Pacific members of the Berne Union (BU), namely Korea, China, Japan, Australia and India.

■ At this round of meeting, 9 among 12 Asia-Pacific BU members joined to seek ways to notch up their business efficiency and capability.

○ The participants shared their underwriting and risk management methods and discussed how to improve their practices on ▲ buyers’ credit evaluation, ▲ country credit rating method, and ▲ industry assessment. K-sure, in the meantime, introduced its newly upgraded buyers’ credit evaluation model and how it is used.

■ Mr. Kim Young-hak, president of K-sure stated that “K-sure reaffirmed its leading status among global ECAs through its successful hosting of the 6th RCG CBP Meeting, which offered a venue for sharing each agency’s business practices over important topics and introducing K-sure’s advanced credit evaluation model. By further intensifying our level of cooperation with other ECAs, K-sure will actively support Korean companies’ exports and investment to the Asia-Pacific market and beyond.”
